Please take a moment to draw the image that came to mind when you saw the word G-D. Grab a pen and anything to write on, go ahead, I’ll wait!
There is no right or wrong, just the truth. What you see is your “G-d Image”. We all have one and whatever it may be, it could very well be what guides you. For those that don’t believe, try and get that image out of your mind, forever! Good luck, it’s there to stay.
If you question anything about nature at all, which I imagine you do then you might believe that something, somewhere out there is making sure that the balance is maintained. When it becomes too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry, too windy- life gets destroyed. As a part of nature we too have the need for balance, leading one to believe that too much of one thing typically results in the lack of something else. We need earth, rain, wind, fire and the water to survive but we all know that too much of any of these natural phenomena result in disaster, destruction and death. As one of the 7 billion humans in the world, each of us possess the ability and opportunity to destroy ourselves. Unfortunately, many of us do.
Your G-d image could be your conscience, an imaginary figurine or even more interestingly, it could be a superior you! Let’s say that your G-d Image is the perfect you, someone that you aspire to become one day, someone so strong in themselves that they are able to enable others along their way, others who may not yet have had the opportunity to learn as much as you have.
Whatever G-D image you have chosen, it will serve as your guide, your mentor and your leader. That which will guide you to develop and enjoy the best life possible. Perhaps it is your conscience, simple logic or maybe just knowing the difference between right and wrong. Whatever it is, there is a very positive, really satisfying and sometimes exhilarating side of life that you absolutely must experience.
You will realize that it is worth the effort to try harder, to do your best and to do whatever it takes, so that you can admire and appreciate your G-D image, in the mirror of your mind.
