An overwhelming number of employees referred to their bosses as ‘Assholes’ and ‘Bitches’, and for good reason. Because of their position over you, they feel that they are entitled to abuse you, disrespect you and ridicule you without a second thought to how seriously it might affect you.
The sad truth is that every ‘Asshole’ and ‘Bitch’ boss it is really hurting their own company or inhibiting their own success by treating you (arguably their greatest asset), without empathy. There are those bosses that push people away and there are those bosses that pull people toward them, the latter one being a leader while the former one being the epitome of a bully.
Bad bosses really suck and people seldom leave their company, rather they leave their boss and everybody suffers from this avoidable disruption to one's overall productivity. But before you get too excited, let’s take a look at the other side of the coin where you have a very motivated high functioning individual, doing the best they can and having to deal with employees that are either lazy, feel entitled or just not interested in doing their best. These people are what drive leaders to being ‘Assholes’ and ‘Bitches’.
I am not condoning their behavior by there are those individuals that’s wake up every morning and make every effort to be productive, despite the fact that others bring them down or get in their way.
Because of a severe lack of emotional intelligence or social skills these leaders lose their way and become extremely frustrated, angry and stressed over the fact that others do not share their work ethic or sense of responsibility when it comes to doing their best to be productive and useful.
We could all stand to live in a better world where everybody makes the effort to understand and improve their emotional intelligence, by simply wanting to help one another.
We could all do better and create an environment in which everybody feels more satisfied with their work, home, school, and general life experience.
